I hear that Barack Obama will be speaking in Maquoketa again. I know it will be Thursday Night about 7:30 pm, December 13th, but do not now the location of the event yet.

Hello everyone,
I went to the “organizing for Change” rally that was held Sunday, Oct. 7. in the Maquoketa Middle School Gym to see and hear Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clintons campaign speach.
There seemed to be around 300 attending, and the gym was really really hot and uncomfortable.

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama returns to campaign in the Dubuque area Thursday, Sept. 13, scheduling town hall meetings in Maquoketa, Anamosa and Dubuque.
In Maquoketa, the Obama forum takes place at 10 a.m. at First Ward Park, and in Anamosa, his appearance takes place at 1:45 p.m. at Lawrence Community Center.

Iraqi prime minister says U.S. troops can go ‘anytime they want’
BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) — Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki shrugged off U.S. doubts of his government’s military and political progress Saturday, saying Iraqi forces are capable and American troops can leave “anytime they want.”
