Rosenfels, who tied an NFL record with four fourth-quarter touchdown passes in Sunday’s last-second defeat against Tennessee, has heard that joke all his life.
His first name was an inspiration from parents who he says had something of a hippie lifestyle. Robert and Jamie Rosenfels raised five children on 11 rural acres in 6,500-population Maquoketa, Iowa, where, Rosenfels says, “We ate a lot of organic food, before organic was cool.”
