“Love It & Leaf It” Open House Jackson County Welcome Center will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 and Sunday, Oct. 21 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Open house, refreshments and crafts. The Welcome Center is located west of Sabula on Hwy. 64. Travelers are given information about on-going fall events and spectacular fall foliage.

PACK Fall Festival will be held Saturday, Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Maquoketa Middle School.

“Civil War Stories” will be presented at 7 p.m. in the community room of Maquoketa Public Library Thursday, Oct. 18 as part of the Friends of the Library’s annual meeting. Program includes three short theatrical presentations looking at the conflict of the war, the role of women and daily life for the boys in blue.
